The attackers, who seemed to be well-organized and well-armed, vandalized properties, stole farm products, and burned down six houses. They also set the ECWA Church in Unguwar Rogo ablaze, looting valuables from the church and its pastorium. The Chairman of the Ugom Progressive Union, Ishaya Onussim, described the scene as “disheartening” and appealed to the government to intervene urgently to prevent further attacks.

As the residents of Unguwar Rogo fled into the bushes to save their lives, they were forced to abandon their belongings, leaving them to wonder if they would ever be able to return to their homes. The attack has sparked widespread condemnation, with many calling for increased security presence in the area. The Police Public Relations Officer, Kaduna Police Command, ASP Mansir Hassan, was unreachable for comments, leaving many to wonder if the authorities are doing enough to prevent such attacks.
